that time of day

there comes a time in every semester when you wonder how you'll survive. everything seems like it's piling up on you (and it really is) but you just aren't sure you'll live until midnight the following monday when everything is finally due.
when that time arrives, you're left in this woe of homework and distractions galore. Devious Maids marathons and the new pandora update just get a lot more interesting. then the cleaning bug bites and before you know it, you're entire room is torn up and there are sacks and sacks of old papers and clothes that I no longer feel like I need. but in all honestly i'll prolly be wishing I had that "one shirt that's a little too short and has a hole because it was cute with that one skirt i wore once"

case study? check
math homework? check
math test? check
research paper? working..
ethics paper? you're kidding right?

don't even ask about my reading. blah.

one of these days i'll catch up on blogging.
and sleeping.

because blurry pictures and curls are so hipster. here's to day 3 without washing my hair.

i have a home.

i took  a polysci class this semester. and i love it. it's just so interesting and i understand it. and coming from a math class that makes you cry, poly sci is the hug you need. weird right?
a month ago i met with my mentor and i mentioned that how not happy i was with my biology home, and how much i loved my poly sci class. so she told me to go meet with an advisor and figure if it's something i really want to do. i'm meeting with Michelle tomorrow. so true to my slacker roots, i met with a poly sci advisor today. and lemme tell you. i fell in love.
i have a home. i'm not a biology weirdo, i'm a poly sci weirdo.
i only declared a poly sci associates but still. i am in love. maybe i'll be a biology minor. but she mentioned that for my senior year i can do an internship worth 10 freaking credits in freaking WASHINGTON DC.
and i can literally get any job i want because a poly sci major is almost like a wild card.

phew. i have a home i love.
i feel like this is what i needed to get me motivated. i have something to look forward to other than bugs and darwin.
the next big battle is going to be telling my parents.. My cousin in a poly sci major and when my dad found out, he ripped her a new one. so lets hope he's moved on because i love this already.

also, for my english final, i can make it into a blog!:) YES.

then...I GOT A RAISE AT WORK!!!!:)

also, i promised tay i wouldn't blog but i NEEDED to share.

i have a home:)

and off they go

no one should see 9 am on a snowy saturday. it's just mean and not okay.
we had a hostess meeting so off to work i went at 9 freaking AM. i was not a happy camper. i show up to the weirdest meeting ever. basically the whole hosting process is getting made 100x harder. so here goes nothing i guess. then we talked about suggestive selling. and our pie. "you can't sell a product you've never had. you guys have all had the pie, so sell the heck out of it" said the owner. then morgan was like "um. i haven't" so then Glen brought out 3 giant trays full of slices of pie. so i ate 3.
THEN
i called britt because we planned on going up the canyon for our run. she was still in bed. it was FREAKING 11. so after prying her from her bed with the jaws of life, jadeo potato came over and up the canyon we went.  3.25 miles in, we found ourselves in ankle deep snow, wind pelting us with MORE snow, and a 3.25 mile run back. half way there, i had to stop and there went my pie. never again will i eat pie then go running. pretty sure i got my pie fix for the next few months. this thon does NOT stand a chance against us.

after thawing out in the shower for about an hour, i had to get ready for work. boo. work. but this weekend, i managed to not bus tables all nights:) i'm sure the other hosts hate me for it but my hip was killing me so..i did as little walking as i could. Roger came over and told me i was going to start training on to-go's next week!!:) holla!!:) to-go's get more hours and tips ontop of the tip outs we already get. monaaaay in the bank!! yeah right. more like monay in UVU..or cafe rio...or Moab...lesbehonest

an after work movie sounded like a good plan, so off to warm bodies tayter tot and i went. it was suuuuuper funny:)

THEN
the next morning at 9. again. we went to parker's farewell. parkie poo is going to RUSSIA!!! he is gonna be an AMAZING missionary. look out russia. buuuuut i realized last night how much i'm going to miss him..like lots. it sorta bums me out that so many of my friends are leaving. but i guess it's for a good cause.. whateerrr.

and that,my friends, brings us to today. where i'm blogging instead of writing my 4-5 page essay due tonight at midnight..

welcome to college part 2

welcome to college.
when all you eat is granola bars your mom buys in bulk, water (because it's free, and zero calories), and the dinner tayter gater buys you the night before.
cooking is just too hard for a sliced up hand..and me in general.

aaaaaand, the guy next to me in philosophy smells like smoke and old hot dogs... man, i sure do love college.
asher roth knew what was up.

not..

spring 2013

i made it trough the first week of the new semester
fitness for life seems like it's going to be an okay class. the teacher is one of those funny douchers. kind of like coach andrus. the first thing he said to us was "raise your hand if this is your first year at college." so up my little freshman hand went (but not because i have man hands..) then he goes "i commend you guys for being here. college isn't easy. you are all good people i presume. with that being said, i don't care if you fail. i get paid regardless." welcome to college i guess.
math.. is well..math. the teacher is old and friendly. we never have any strict "due dates" on anything. our homework can be done whenever, and we can retake tests 3 times. online. using notes. this is both a blessing and a curse. i'm already behind like 3 sections... but i  can retake anything when i want. which is really nice.
english. it's pretty fun. except for the walk from the LA building to the ME building. OUTSIDE. but we listen to mumford and sons, birdy, and airborne    toxic effect in class. and the guy who sits next to me in that class is actually really cool. there are cool people at UVU!! who knew??
philosophy.. i LOVE this class already. the reading is sorta hard and there's lots of it but it's interesting and that's sorta what gets me through it. look.

"The third way is taken from possibility and necessity, and runs thus. We find in nature things that are possible to be and not to be, since they are found to be generated, and to corrupt, and consequently, they are possible to be and not to be. But it is impossible for these always to exist, for that which is possible not to be at some time is not. Therefore, if everything is possible not to be, then at one time there could have been nothing in existence. Now if this were true, even now there would be nothing in existence, because that which does not exist only begins to exist by something already existing. Therefore, if at one time nothing was in existence, it would have been impossible for anything to have begun to exist; and thus even now nothing would be in existence--which is absurd. Therefore, not all beings are merely possible, but there must exist something the existence of which is necessary. But every necessary thing either has its necessity caused by another, or not. Now it is impossible to go on to infinity in necessary things which have their necessity caused by another, as has been already proved in regard to efficient causes. Therefore we cannot but postulate the existence of some being having of itself its own necessity, and not receiving it from another, but rather causing in others their necessity. This all men speak of as God."

we're talking about the philosophy about religion right now and whether there is a God or not. it's really super interesting when you start comparing "religious studies" v.s. "devotional studies" cool right?? right.

american national government. this class brings me back to senior year with good old Randy Rehrer. we had a love-hate relationship. but i passed his class and graduated which is all that counts. but ya, american nat gov started off suuuper lame. i get bored when we talk about the 13 original colonies. but then we started to get into the election process and the electoral college and the 2000 election and it was so interesting. didja know that on election year, states have their republican and democratic conventions and nominate 6 people. because utah has 6 electoral votes. then whoever wins the state, republican or democratic party, those 6 people are the ones that cast the electoral college votes. i didn't even know that! but our professor got there and started teaching. he didn't even mention the syllabus. so i have noo idea what to expect from him. oh well.

over all, i like my classes lots this semester:)

uhhm..excuse me?

welcome to the real world Ali Sanchez.
the real world requires you to work and go to school and do homework.
at the same time.
i'm honestly so overwhelmed right now.
it's been one day.
i honestly don't think i'm spoiled or anything..i mean my parents never said i needed to get a job.. so i didn't.
the moment they said i needed to start paying for my books for school, i found a job the week after.
i hate it when people assume i'm spoiled. because i'm not.
i might not know how to handle everything right now, because i've never done it.
i feel like i'm dropping the ball on everything.
i accidentally blew off one of my best friends this weekend for work..
i feel like i went to my PES class and everything went over my head..
i walk into all of my classes and want to break down and cry because it feels like it's me against the world..or at least UVU..
i miss actually having friends..
today was one of those days when you convince yourself that you're fine until you get to campus and the knot in your throat grows a million times...you feel nervous and wanna throw up.
sort of like the first day of kindergarten. only this time you didn't make friends by the time snack time rolled around.
you learn to be best friends with your computer and headphones.
and they said i'd love this...

2012, you have been swell

2012 has been one for the books in my opinion.
lets start from the beginning.

JANUARY
as of last year, i am a firm believer that all good years end and start with a new years kiss. last year i kissed this kid right as the ball dropped. it was really cute but kind of super awkward because i was taller than him and my best friends were staring at us right when it all happened.. but i think it gave my year a push in the right direction.
i tested for my 3rd degree black belt.

hardest thing of my life. never will i ever do it again.

FEBRUARY
the whole new years romance had blown up in our faces and we could not stand to be around each other. too bad we had 2 classes with each other every day. for the rest of the year.

MARCH
march was a turning point in what i decided to do with my spare time. i got a pinterest account.
productivity was lost early in the year. but around march,,i went through this "I LOVE ALL THE QUOTES ON PINTEREST" kick and in result, i have pages of awesome quotes in my journal. i think i can pinpoint it to march when i started to finally decide to figure out who i really was as a person. who i wanted to become and how i was going to get there.
i walked in my very first dress show!:)
ugliest dress of my life.

i have random songs that i fell in love with all through out the year.
march was belle and sebastian.

APRIL
my world was sort of turned upside down.
"Hey Ali. Sorry this took so long, but I kinda did figure it was my fault we broke up. I'd give you a full apology but this damn thing is limiting me. Hope you're taking good care of Joe."
after a year, jake duros, once again, reared his head into my life.
i met up with him one day when i was supposed to be at an AP spanish review and..we kissed. again. i was just so confused about everything. i liked him, but i didn't like him enough to try to make a long distance relationship work. but he was trying so hard to make this different. he kept saying "lets not have another break up." and he offered to spend prom with me, because at the time, i was still dateless and i missed out on my jr prom because we broke up 3 weeks before. i remember almost crying..and agreeing to spend prom with him but not to the whole "lets not break up again" deal.
april was the middle of my senior year, and i had just transferred into AP spanish. there was this really cute sophomore, but i mean, he was a sophomore. nothing was going to come of it. or so i thought. i LOVED that class. the teacher loved me, i was the only senior girl, so all the boys talked to me, and it was pretty easy. sometime during april, we had a fire drill outside  and it was raining and freezing. i was standing in the field all alone, then out of no where there's a big pair of arms that have me wrapped up.  it was taylor. my first thought was "man. this is a ballsy kid. he smells good, and has nice arms."

MAY
nothing had changed with the whole jake situation. but the taylor deal had gotten a lot more interesting.
i told him i liked him.
we kissed.
then i fell hard for a sophomore who had already treated so much better than jake ever did..
the LAST month of my SENIOR YEAR of freaking HIGH SCHOOL.
track season ended.
matt wrote me:)
and i took my AP spanish test:)
went to morp.
got asked to prom:)
may 18th:)
i almost didn't walk at graduation.
no worries though, i did:)
i wrapped my dates car in 1200 feet of plastic wrap:) he got me 129342 goldfish. taylor came and rescued me from them.
senior prom!!:)
presh
after walking!!:) we did it!
waiting to walk
JUNE
june was mostly spent with taylor from what my journal says.
we went to summer fest with ellie and michael. it was freezing but super fun:)
a whole month spent of endless nothingness.
summer<3
we went mountain biking for the first time:)
celine came from FRANCE to play with us!:)
he held our shoes so we wouldn't sink in the grass:)

girls camp with these lovely ladies:)
JULY
july was a month of firsts.
weddings, funerals, realizing how amazing my friends really are.
my ex best friend got into a motorcycle accident with david cancilla. the day after his sister got married.
i was called to be a leader for girls camp. and i was able to come down to go to the funeral.
i was terrified. i had no idea what to expect. i asked taylor to come to the funeral with me. i bawled the entire time. the look on some of the people's face is permanently engraved into my memory. it breaks my heart every single time.
the support and love i got from all my friends was incredible.
girls camp for the last time with my ward girls was amazing.

AUGUST
LAKE POWELL

a week in the sun, half naked, all day every day. holla at yo gurl.
"i always wanted to be perfect for someone."
summer was finally winding down and there was a lot in store for our cute little summer fling. half the world thought we wouldn't last summer, the other half was sure we'd break up once school started. but i wasn't quite ready to let him go just yet. football season was in full swing and i feel like i almost died during football.

SEPTEMBER

college man. i officially was a college girl.
:)

OCTOBER

october was full of ups and downs.
i finally made peace with 3 different people who at once ment a lot to me and it all ended to awkwardly. but now, we're switzerland. all is well.
i was also photographed for UVU!:)
i then\ learned first hand that the person who was never supposed to hurt you probably will. it'll break your heart and you'll cry for days on end. then your best friend drives down from salt lake at ten at night on a week day and just holds you and lets you bawl on them while everything just sucks. and that's when you learn to be a grown up and try your very hardest to forgive them because they hurt themselves just as badly.

NOVEMBER

you know those awkward times when your mind says something but your insides are saying the exact opposite?
welcome to a solid 3 weeks of my november.
i got a JOB!!!:)
then there was thanksgiving!:)

DECEMBER

i survived my very first finals week ever.
it was filled with endless nights skyping with taylor doing math, reading biology, and crying. somehow, i survived.
best. birthday. ever.
pretty gnarly chistmas too:)

this year has been one for the books:) it's had some serious ups and some serious downs. the kind that make you wonder if you'll ever crawl back up again. but over all, it's been amazing.
here's to 2013!

the end is in sight

one presentation, 6 page research paper, 4 page hand-written reflection and one math final later.. the end is in sight.
i have a 100 question biology final and then a quick presentation in front of 50 eighth graders. no biggie.
i am freaking out about my biology final though. i need to ace this. i usually get biology so well, and this semester has been hell.
i've been scoring low on all my tests..and i basically failed my last one.
i just need to do decently on this final and i think i'll be okay.
in high school getting a C was devastating.. in college, it's almost a relief just knowing you passed the class.
today i got the email i was waiting for though.
i got into my American Nat Gov class!!
now i'm signed up for 15 credits and ALL of them count towards getting to the U and i'm actually super excited about next semester.
i feel like noticing that email just now was a good sign from the heavens. everything will be okay as long as i put in my hours. god will provide:)
i've come to a conclusion, it's not gonna make any difference if i have an amazing math teacher if i don't put in the extra time myself. so this semester, i'm gonna rock my math class. i'm gonna go to math lab, not slack on my homework when the semester is almost over, not miss class, take advantage of office hours and skype taylor when i need him. mostly so i don't keep taylor up into the late hours of the night explaining inequalities and quadratic formula. even though it is pretty grand to have my very own personal tutor who just happens to be the sweetest guy around:)
lets get on the dean's list shall we?

to do list:
1. wake up early
2. get ready
3. be at kelsey's by 7
4. be on time to bio final
5. act bio final
6. present for lakeridge kids
7. come home and take my "i made it through my first finals week" nap
8. wash my work jeans
9. go to work
10. find someone to take my saturday shift
11. love life

clearly my morals are too high..
only joking:)

nuhh uhhh gurrl freeeind

i should get paid to pin

they lied. every. single. one. of. them.

going crazy

there are so many things running through my head right not it's not normal.
i should be focusing on the FINAL stretch of my english paper due in 25 minutes. but words aren't coming to me.. women's rights..i feel like i have said everything possible and them some. somehow i need one. more. PARAGRAPH.
what makes this particularly hard is how many random thoughts are in my head..
i need to go running.. i'm getting chubby i feel like. in the notebook when Allie goes "i don't paint anymore.." i feel like i'm sitting here saying "i don't run anymore.." then i realize it's because i have no time. none at all. i come to school, go home and do chores, then work until 8 sometimes 9, then crash. running is what kept me sane for all of high school. why is it now, when i need it the most, i have no time for it?
it breaks my heart a little.
i was on insta and i saw this picture. this girl has amazing hair.. but it was like "staying up late at night thinking of all the wrong i've done to people.. #i'msosorry #otherhashtags #moredepressedhighschooldrama
i don't know this girl. at all. all i know is what i've heard from people and she doesn't have many fans from the group of people i hang out with. but even if i'm totally wrong about what she's referring to, i'm kinda glad she went and hurt certain individuals..because it gave me the opportunity to know certain people on a level that never would have been reached unless we were both broken in a sense.. i guess "pain" is this weirdly gnarly thing. it hurts oh so bad, like double over on your  bed and sob into the early hours of the morning bad but..it makes us that much stronger. weirdness.

i really need headphones..there are so many conversations going on around me and i don't care about your "Peruvian bread from Mexico.." or "your epic jump shot last night" or even "oh my god. she totally slept with her boyfriend!" that one did make me laugh though. thank goodness for laptops you can hide behind.
i need a hug..
or flowers..
or a puppy..
or finals to be over. i never thought they would be this bad. i always looked at my college friends and thought "psh..i bet it's not even that bad.." oh hah no. it is that bad and some.
then when your 6 page research final goes "poof" and you're left with half a paragraph.. you want to kill yourself.
but thanks to lovely Britt Britt, i somehow got through this. i'm so incredibly glad my best friend is showing me the ropes with this whole "college-finals" thing. i would die without someone so willing to let me cry to them.

(this was written at 11..and posted at 6:30. my finals are HALF way OVER!! heck to the yes!!)

that moment when..

ever since i was little, i always thought of UVU as the "loser college"
at the time it was a junior college and not very cool.
i remember saying "mom. i will go to BYU before UVU"
and guess where i ended up..

UVU.

i did a ton of credits in high school, but i didn't quite finish an associates degree. so instead of bargaining with the U, i decided that i would put off my dream school for a little and be smart. i'm at UVU finishing up an associates. i'm 28 credits short. so two more semesters after this one. honestly, its so hard being at the loser school. i love the fact that i'm done with class by one at the latest,  my classes are fairly easy and a few of the people i've been brave enough to talk to are nice. but i don't love it. i'm not having the time of my life. it honestly sucks a little bit.

but that moment when it all starts falling together a lot better than you could have ever hoped for is amazing.

i love my major. oh so very much. biology. a few years ago, i never would have imagined that i'd be a biology major. but i'm loving it. it's something that both me and my parents agree on. then i figured out what i want to minor in. exercise science and outdoor recreation. something that i honestly am interested in and i think it'll just be fun.

the wonderful part of all this, is that when i transfer to the U in two semesters, it's all going to work out. the U has an amazing science program and it's not like my major and minor are too far off. they're close enough related that i think it'll be good. and i guess if i'm not married by the time i get my bachelors, i'll get my masters.

basically, it's all coming together so much  nicer than i could have hoped for. i'm a little scared about what my future holds, but no good story ever began with "this one time at my parents house.." i am stoked.

choices

if the world worked the way i wanted, football season would've ended yesterday.
i'm a horrible person for wanting taylor's team to lose.
whatever. i don't care anymore.
but of course. life never goes the way you want it. so guess what.
they won!
woot woot!! go bruin football!!
and i really am glad they won.. promise

but it just means another little bit of no taylor.

but then i thought of something
"why am i almost all bummed and what not..? he likes football. well sorta. and they just won a game! i should be happy they're not last in the region. and if i'm upset, then what? nothing changes. football season will still go on, and nothing gets changed."

so i decided that i'm not going to sweat it. i have mid terms to worry about and it's not like i won't see taylor ever again.

then i woke up to a lovely text from brinks.

"chose to make today a good one.."
(of course there was more, but i don't feel like sharing with the rest of the world)

and i was like ya! today is gonna rock, because i'm going to make it.

so i got pretty for school, i was on time, found awesome parking, finished my paper, and i'm just waiting until my next class starts mindlessly loving today. because i made it a good one.

thank goodness for amazing friends:)

you are special

when i first declared my major..i was a little iffy about it.
i mean biology. it seems cray cray. something i wouldn't picture me honestly doing.
slowly but surly i am coming to LOVE my major. it's not easy..by any means. but so far, it makes sense. it clicks. it's hard enough to make me work but not hard enough to make me want to poke my eyeballs out. i love it already:) and! it's even better when your best friend is in the class with you.
biology teaches very important life lessons.
like we are all very special.
like really.

today we talked about mitosis and meiosis.

and did you know that at the end of all the cell divisions, if we started with a sperm cell, all those newly divided cells will mature into little spermies? that will eventually try to fertilize an egg.

but in  a girl, when the cell originally divides, it's a gnarly division. one half is huge..then you have this itty bitty other scrawny half..then they both go through meiosis, and you only end up with one cell big enough to mature into an egg cell. that eventually be turned into a baby with the help of the spermies.

we are all so special!! we were the ONE cell big enough to mature into an egg cell...:) well of course not ONE but 3/4th of the possible egg cells died...we are freakin awesome.
so we not only are the fastest sperm, BUT the egg cell that survived meiosis.

i heart being a bio major.

i just wanna be a llama..

today has been quite the emotional roller coaster
and it's not even 4 in the afternoon

it starts with my thoughts going sort of like this

body: oh! guess what time of the month it is...!!
me: please, goodness no-
ovaries: ALL SYSTEMS GOOOOOO
brain: i quit. i quit. puppies and cupcakes and no one loves me. oh my gosh salty snacks. i am furious.
me: please, guys, calm down--
face: TIME TO RUIN EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER LIKED ABOUT ME!! I'M GROWING MOUNTAINS BIH
brain: and now i'm ugly. jdsbpcjiadbcaeuwi.
torso: time to practice labor. CRAMP!!! go go go GO GOOOO!!!
me: STOP!! AHH FOR THE LOVE OF SUGAR AND SPICE AN EVERYTHING NICE!! please...whimper whimper...
stomach: hahaha you can't wear clothes anymore. you're bloated. like a cooooooooooooow. moo
me: i hate you all.
brain: I KNOW EVERYONE HATES ME I AM SO DEPRESSED!!!
face: i'm not done yet..MORE MOUNTAINS!
uterus: what did i ever do to deserve this?
brain: just you wait uterus, they're going to make you hold a baby like that for 9 straight months
torso: CONTRACT
me: i quit being a female. i wanna be a llama. a boy llama.
brain: me gusta..

after the inner turmoil, i went and got ready
see that nasty scar looking thing? that's a burn my friends.
from my straightener.
it's BLISTERING.
getting ready is dangerous. boys, the least you could do is tell a girl she looks pretty.
it makes all the burns worth it.
well, not really. but kinda.

because if there's something i learned this week it's
that you NEVER know who you're going to see around campus.
and lets face it girls, no matter who your ex is or whoever it is you kissed,
when you see them you want their first thought to be "dang who is that..? oh my heck..is that (insert  name here)?? she's looking good...why did i ever let her go..?? i'll go talk to her"
then this is where we act all uninterested and hope that our hair looks like rock star hair.
good thing i got ready yesterday!! loose curls, cut offs, simple grey tee and a fun sweatshirt with a pair of light blue toms i stole from my sister.
kinda like oops, i'm cute..
at least that's what i was going for..i prolly looked more like "i rolled out of bed and these are last nights curls."
BUT! the point is that this said boy came over and talked to me..and what did i do?
play it off like it's nothing:)
because it was.
HECK YES!!

i am swamped with homework.
a paper in English
a page of definitions
a chapter for English
a personal statement for clss 1000
a profesh email for clss 1000
a chapter for clss 1000
and 2 math chapters
and a test tomorrow that i NEED to ace because i didn't turn in my homework quiz because i haven't done my homework yet..because i just got this in the mail

yay valorebooks.com
my lovely book was only twenty five bucks. cheapest book this semester:)

hello long night a head..

oh, p.s. my mom is working late and my microwave is broken...if anyone wants to bring me dinner
i will forever love you
and make you brownies.
maybe.

week 1

ladies and gents
i, ali sanchez, have officially finished my first week of college:)
well, tomorrow. but still, same diff.
honestly, it's so great
except for all the stairs i have to climb every single day to get anywhere
i swear, if i don't have an amazing butt by the end of the semester,
i'm quitting

but the homework has already started piling on..

Overwhelmed.

but really. i just sit there and smile and hope that i'm not the only one suffering from a baby heart attack when a 6 page essay is the norm. and my heart totally stopped when MLA format wasn't what they wanted. oops.
high school might've failed me.

on the first day of class, my biology teacher took like half the time and talked about how grateful we should be for having the privilege of attending a university.
and my first thought was sort of along the lines of "privilege?? i'm paying for this. i'm paying A LOT of monies for this..."
then he said " there are 7 billion people in the world. do you guys have any idea of the percentage of people that are given the chance to get a higher education?"
i don't remember the exact number..but it was itty bitty..
and then it hit me.
i am so incredibly grateful for all my parents do for me. they're paying for whatever i need and books and my computer and gas and everything. without them, i'd be screwed.
i'm so blessed to have been born into a family that values education so much that sacrificing whatever to make sure me and my sister have the very best my parents can afford isn't a big deal.
i mean it is, it's huge, but my parent's make it seem like it's nothing at all.
i just love them so much.
and not just them, everyone. kels, britt, tay, all of the people who help me just get through the day.
i couldn't do it without them.
:)

so, so much

college 101

i have officially gone to all my classes this semester.
and it's safe to say that things are not what i expected.
my math class is one of my favorites
some teachers don't care whether or not you go to class
to pass, let alone get good grades, you NEED to go
if they say "Class starts at 9" class starts at 9. not show up at 9.
"early" classes are at 8:30. not 9.
parking at UVU sucks.
 and so on,

but somethings never change..

like you still have to look both ways before you cross the street because cars are rushing all over the place.

at first it thought i was taking it pretty easy this semester because i literally leave by one at the latest..and the earliest i have class is 8:30.. but once they started piling on the homework and group projects i'm a little overwhelmed...

also..
you know you're a freshman when..
someone asks for directions and you have no idea what they're saying to you...
you leave your tags on your shirt...
your eyes get all big when someone mentions getting married...
