you know you're old when...
you're expected to know how to fill up your tank,
you're expected to scrape your windows when they're COVERED in frost,
even though mom's home, you have to make breakfast,
you're expected to know how to work car washes,
you're expected to carpool small loads of 11 year old girls,
fridays mean "catch up on sleep day",
you realize how expensive gas is!!!!!!!,
you have mental break downs in the middle of the week and end up at the lake almost crying,
you realize that sleep isn't a must. as long as the homework is done.. right?
you. you. YOU.
growing up simply sucks.
you have to deal with a lot more then the kid next to you taking your blue crayon without asking.
reality isn't so harsh when your mommy and daddy take care of it,
if you screw up, you bounce back right then. i mean no one can resist an adorable smile and "i'm sorry!!"
when you're older, you have to throw in a few tears.
yet,
you know you have't grown up when....
you have the best time at discovery park with random assortments of people,
chasing ducks at Nielson's grove is the highlight of your day,
coloring with crayons is simply relaxing,
playing in the rain makes you love life,
kisses, hugs, "i love you"s make everything better,
yellow car is the most intense game ever,
princess band aids fix anything no matter what
:)
ahhhh.. i love being little sometimes.
i mean fixing a scraped knee is 35430513 times easier then a broken heart.
true story.
it's nice to know that some days, no matter what, no matter how old we get, we never really grow up.
i'm 17, and sometimes its terrifying to talk to the cute kid sitting next to me.
luckily, he talked to me:)
but no matter how old i get,
princess band aids will always make everything that much better:),
a hug from my mommy fixes almost everything,
and, yellow car will never be topped.
:)
day 4: a habit you wish you didn't have.
biting my nails.
yes, i am aware of how DISGUSTING this is,
but i can't stop :/
when i get nervous, i bite:P
