best one yet

today is my birthday.

everyone sing! quick!

"happy birthday to you...happy birthday to you.."

just kidding. 

but this weekend has been amazing.

 i am so blessed to have such an amazing family and friends. like really. 

yesterday, i went on the best date of like..the year. and pretty much ever.

(because i don't go on many dates..shh don't tell..)

so i requested work off a week ago for this saturday and my manager was tole me to find someone to cover me and i could have it. i asked everyone i worked with, and of course, EVERYONE was on that saturday. so i was just going to work my birthday celebration day away. but then i got there and basically, Jimmy, another host, offered to take my shift for me!! what a gem! i worked like 18 solid minutes. cool. 

so then i went home and got all pretty for my birthday date with Taylor.

leggings, combat boots (present from the parents:)) and some cute t-shirt with curled hairs. pretty much adorbs right?

so Tay came and got me and we went to my FAVORITE restaurant ever. 

cafe rio.

the way to my heart might just be through grilled chicken salads..

then i ate my entire salad almost. like totally pigged out..woops..

so after dinner, i had no idea what was going on and all i got from Taylor was "It's a surprise." so off we drove to the riverwoods!!

cute right?? we walked around a little then we went on a carriage ride. it was like lightly snowing and not super windy. basically, it was perfectness. 

then i got my birthday present:) 

isn't it gorgeous??

yes, your answer is yes because it's flat out gorgeous. 

basically, my boyfriend is cooler than yours. 

then i came home to this...

petunia was encased in a snowy case of distress. 

it took me like .2 seconds to think of who would've done this. 

of course. 

but! they imported snow directly from springville. they cleaned out a park doing so. 

taylor jumped out of the car and got petunia out in like 5 minutes. 

boyfriend of the year?

i think yes. he deserves a mug that says that or something:)

then sunday was another partay.

i went danny's farewell. he ran xc for a season..or a week..i'm not sure but he was on the team and his farewell was on the same day as  Mark's (mark was on the team for forever) and well..danny was always super duper nice, mark wasn't. so off to danny's we went. 

turns out it was Taylor's ward too. so i had to get ready for reals. no one should see 7 am on a sunday. ever. 

we got there and tay tay came and sat with us and danny was late to his own farewell and he's gonna be an amazing missionary! then during sacrament meeting i got bored and thumb warred taylor..then his poppa sends him a text and it says "do you think you could keep your hands to yourself?" and i about died. too funny. :)

then after church, britt called and gave me many options for breakfast. crepes sounded amazing. britt came and kidnapped me and gave me my birthday present.

shut the front door!!!!!!!!!! 

then we went to her house where jason,britt's daddy, made us breakfast! crepes, eggs,bacon and hash browns. so goooood. 

then off to salt lake we went because all good adventures begin there. 

we then went ice skating at the galivan center and that was quite the experience. it was actually super fun:) 

aren't we the cutest? it was totes the wrong day to not wear pants..oh well. then we went and got starbucks and it was buy one get one free. so we gave the other one to a homeless man because we wanted to be nice. then we got cold and came home to costa chicken:)

then i came home to MORE birthday cake 

with my lovely family:) 

then on monday, i went to yogurtland with my favorite runners.

and i got an interview at doTERRA!:) 

i feel like 19 is going to be amazing:)

a whole lot of something..and a whole lot of nothing..

oh my heck. it's been quite the thanksgiving weekend. 

lets start off with my lovely visit to the ER..

so we were at demo team practice (i just watch considering i can't taekwondo anything for the next little bit..:( 

and there was a part when a girl (nikki) does a spinning hook kick, and her mom(kris); another person in our demo team, ducks the kick. but this time around, nikki threw the kick and kris was at the wrong place at the wrong time.. and caught the kick..with her face. 

we rushed to instacare across the street to get her help, but as soon as we walked in, the girls at the front office told us that we needed to get to a hospital ASAP.. so we rushed to Utah Valley. well.. sorta. 

this was one of those times when the hand of the Lord practically slaps you across the face. 

traffic was awful and there was no way we were gonna be able to get to provo before Kris got any worse.. then someone offered a prayer, i got around a car, and the entire lane was empty...

smooth sailing into the ER.. 

when we got there, they got kris in and taken care of. it turns out that it was a skull fracture but it could be easily repaired. surgery would be needed tho. when nikki heard this, she about died. i felt so bad for her. i cannot imagine how she must have felt. poor kid. but soon enough her dad got to the ER and i left.. 

thanksgiving was the next day:) 

yay!!! i'm so thankful to have so many blessings in my life. like the gospel, my friends, my teams, my family!, my health (for the most part), ah, my leaders.. the list could go on and on.but really.:) 

then on friday, i did the usus...i hung out with these crazy girls..

yay for cross country teammies:) when you decide to make the DUMBEST choice of your life (joining cross) be ready to make TONS of new best friends, give up sugar, men, and social lives, and to basically have a blast :) i'm not quite sure what i would do without that one (look above..) right there:) we met in seventh grade english and were best friends ever since! no just kidding, i thought kels was SO cool, so we were friends but never best friends. till we decided to be on cross :) now, we play every. single. weekend. no joke. none. at all. really. movie nights, yogurtland, menchies, and more movie nights. it's superb:)

thee next day, i went on a date!
 (gasp..cross girls get asked out????? yeah, it shocked my father too...)
he made this face when he saw who was at the door...

only coming from a mexican man makes it that much worse..
and of course i was dressed awfully. khaki shorts and a where's waldo sweater..
l;sadjgkvbaiuwer. there goes any chance of this kid ever asking me out again...
so i finally get changed into jeans (thank you daddy for the early birthday present:) ) and get ready to leave..
when i closed the door, my dad reopened it and glared as we went down the stairs.. can you say AWKWARD????????
finally, we got into his car (audi quattro..) and left for cafe rio :) yummm
then went to nickle city. SO.MUCH.FUN.
then we were driving around when we got hit...
but really.
first accident, on a date..
did i mention it was his dad's car..?
talk about most memorable date. like ever.
but still, it was way fun:) thank you blake!

of course i called the cross girls. movie night and recap of that nights events??? i think yes:)
well, that was my break.not much of a break, but oh so much fun:)
